Prologue:
Meet Christa:
Delaware And Worldwide Photographer and filmmaker
I draw my inspiration from a wealth of literary treasures, a background of dance and movement, and a desire to make others feel seen and heard. My current home, Lewes, Delaware, with its historic seaside charm and proximity to the Atlantic, serves as a canvas of endless possibilities—where breathtaking sunrises paint the sky, misty mornings whisper secrets, and stormy seas evoke a sense of wonder. However, my roots lay in a quaint, rural town in Pennsylvania, cradled by the gentle embrace of the Appalachian Mountains. Growing up in such a vibrant landscape instilled in me a deep appreciation for all things green and colorful, from the awakening of spring to the crisp, white brilliance of freshly fallen snow adorning bare branches. It’s these intricate details of life and memory that fuel my passion for capturing the beauty that surrounds us.

Chapter One:
My philosophy
At the heart of my business
lies a passion for storytelling and a deep love for people

In writing a book, the author must navigate the delicate balance of being everywhere and nowhere at once. Readers don’t want to be told how to feel; they crave subtlety and the thrill of unspoken connections and mysteries that unfold naturally. Yet, the writer’s artistry must shine through, crafting a narrative that feels both magical and profound. My approach to documenting your day mirrors this philosophy. I strive to capture the essence of each moment—the tears falling in
a murmur or insistently, the tender embraces between family, your guests holding hands in remembrance of their own bonds, and the soul-stirring glances exchanged with your kindred spirit. Just like a writer doesn’t need to spell out how readers should feel about a story, I don’t need to tell you to feel the emotions that come with the moments in your life—you already do. Each experience brings its own feelings, and my role is simply to capture those genuine emotions as they unfold.

From The Journal
Fig 12
Amidst the petals, under the sun,
Two souls come together, as one they run.
With glances that sparkle and hands intertwined,
A celebration of love, beautifully aligned
Each moment a treasure, each laugh a song,
In this tapestry woven, they both belong.
As they step forward, hearts full of grace,
A lifetime of dreams in this sacred space.

Chapter Two:
Our memories aren’t perfect
—So Why Should Our Photos Be?
I see a wedding day as a celebration of experience, not just a series of staged shots. My focus is on capturing genuine moments rather than orchestrating scenes, and I won’t impose my vision where it doesn’t fit. This approach to wedding photography diverges from traditional expectations. I’m here to authentically preserve your memories in an artistic and cinematic way, celebrating the beautiful reality of your day.
My style blends guided documentary and editorial photography, capturing love stories through movement and laughter. I believe in creating intentional, cinematic images that highlight genuine connections. If you cherish playfulness and emotion over posed perfection, then I’m the one for you.

Chapter Three:
My values
Behind My Stories And My Art
Intention
I am driven by this word (so much so that it’s forever etched on my arm!), and I wholeheartedly believe we are all called to live our lives with intention. Our actions should be purposeful, each step taken through the lens of our values and what we hold close to our hearts. The elements of your wedding reflect this same spirit—they echo the depths of your connection, resonate with your dreams and aspirations, and embody the intention to build a life together.
Authenticity
Authenticity means showing up as my true self, and creating the space where you can be yourselves as well. I encourage you to embrace imperfection in the name of authenticity. Your wedding day is about being present - where you savor each fleeting emotion and connection, rather than feeling the weight of performance.
Faith
What a friend I have in Him. I stand back in awe, recognizing and appreciating photography as a blessing given to me by the Lord. In capturing His creation, from the majestic mountains and gentle seas, to the profound beauty of sacred relationships and marriage- My prayer is that my work reflects His light and love, serving others in a way that honors Him. I want you to come away from the experience with me feeling seen, known, and valued.
Connection
Memories are my most valuable possessions, and love and human connection are what truly matter. Telling your story well requires me to immerse myself in your world, understanding the nuances of your relationships and the bonds you share. It’s an honor to be part of such sacred moments, capturing the little things that fuel your love, what makes your heart skip, and what excites you about marrying your person and celebrating with your people.

Epilogue:
Afterword, I am happiest
Immersed in the things I love. . .
